Misconception about FRDI bill is unfounded: Arun Jaitley

jaitelyThe government today said that public deposits in banks are safe and misconception about the proposed FRDI bill in social media is unfounded.

Allaying fears of depositors, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the government is committed to strengthening the banking and financial institutions. Speaking in New Delhi, he said, the Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance, FRDI Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha in August this year. It is presently under the consideration of the Joint Committee of Parliament.
