Benchmark equity indices opened in green following global cues.
NEW DELHI: Shares of Maruti Suzuki (Rs 109.25 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs 108.34 crore) and Reliance Industries (Rs 105.83 crore) were trading as the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in morning trade on Monday.

Shares of State Bank of India (Rs 90.20 crore), HDFC (Rs 82.82 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 81.22 crore), ITC (Rs 81.01 crore), Larsen & Toubro (Rs 48.04 crore), GAIL (Rs 42.37 crore), Infosys (Rs 40.81 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 38.26 crore) and Tata Steel (Rs 36.53 crore) were also among the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE.

Benchmark equity indices opened in green following global cues.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 53 points up at 10,318, while the BSE Sensex was 185 points up at 33,435 around 09:35 am (IST).

In the Nifty50 index, Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Axis Bank, Aurobindo Pharma, Wipro, Eicher Motors, ITC, UltraTech Cement, Maruti Suzuki India and Tata Steel were among the top gainers.

However, Hindustan Unilever, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Infosys, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone were trading as the losers.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.
