Walk for Human Rights held in city

The youngsters of the city observed the World Human Rights Day on Sunday with organizing a ‘Walk for Human Rights’.

On Sunday marking the occasion of International Human Rights Day, Ansh Happiness Society in association with Youth for Human Rights International observed Human Rights Day and organise a ‘Walk for Human Rights’ at Upper Lake.People showed their concern towards Human Rights and participated in this walk. Slogans like ‘big or small, human rights is for all’ and ‘we will fight, for human rights’ were actively spoken and encourage by the people of Bhopal and took a walk from ‘Boat Club to Hotel Ranjeet’.The event was a grand affair. After this walk, some cultural activities were organised like musical performance, poetry and a street play. Musical Performance was performed by Yuvraj Puriya, Poetry was performed by Sunny Kumar and Ankit Panday and street play was performed by Kaafila Group.This walk was intended to make common people realize their rights and the need of the hour to make human rights not mere statements but a reality successfully came into play. This successfully gave a spark to think about Human Rights and to make this country a better place to live in.It is to be noted that Human Rights Day is observed every year on December 10. The day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The theme for Human Rights Week 2017 is ‘Human rights start with you’.
