Kesha, Macklemore coming to Tampa

Two prominent pop stars of the 2010s are teaming up for a tour that will bring them to Tampa.

Kesha and Macklemore will play MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Aug. 5. Tickets go on sale to the general public at noon Friday.

This year Kesha released her comeback album “Rainbow,” which scored two Grammy nominations, after prolonged legal struggles against former producer Dr. Luke. Before that, she released hits such as “Tik Tok,” “We R Who We R” and “Die Young.”

Meanwhile, Macklemore rose to fame with his 2012 album “The Heist” with Ryan Lewis and the song “Thrift Shop,” winning Grammys for Best New Artist, Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song. This year he released the solo record “Gemini,” with the Kesha-featuring single “Good Old Days.”
