Countering the accusation that his government only catered to a handful of industrialists, Modi said the Swachhata Mission he undertook addressed concerns of the poor and not the rich.

"Congress is blaming Bluetooth for EVM tampering but the fact is that the party has reached the last task of the Blue Whale game. On December 18, the game will be over," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Ahmedabad on Monday.

Speaking at an election rally, Modi said allegations of EVM tampering were made to save Rahul Gandhi from the embarrassment of losing in Gujarat as EVMs had no Bluetooth connectivity. Speaking at the Sabarmati Riverfront, Modi said that he felt like a son when he returned home.

"I have never spoken so much about the pain. The UPA government did not stop at anything to put hurdles in my effort to usher in development in the state. Gujarat has got an opportunity now with one among you, who brought you drinking water from Sabarmati, in Delhi. Gujarat has got two engines of development: one in Gandhinagar and one on Delhi," Modi said. "Do you see the Sabarmati River? Circuses used to held here earlier. Now you see the riverfront. This is development. But for Congress, development is when it can make money," Modi alleged. Countering the accusation that his government only catered to a handful of industrialists, Modi said the Swachhata Mission he undertook addressed concerns of the poor and not the rich. "Who is impacted most by unclean surroundings? Not the rich, but the poor. When we work on Swachh Mission it helps the poor," he added.

Speaking at Patan earlier in the day, Modi reminded the crowd about initiatives he took as chief minister to educate the girl child. "I used to go from village to village, in 45 degrees heat, to promote education of the girl child," Modi said. "What do those born with a golden spoon in their mouth know about it?" He defended the demonetisation and said that the move hurt Congress and that was why the party was complaining about it. He asked voters to defeat Congress in every booth.
