Criticising the CM, state BJP spokesperson Mrinal Kanti Deb said, "The CM was present in the state, but still did not attend the crucial meeting. But, on December 8, he left for Delhi to attend a CPM politburo meeting."
Commenting on illegal infiltration issue, he said, "Migrants are entering the state illegally everyday. Sixty-one illegal infiltrators were arrested in Tripura this year. In the Khayerpur area, 8 Rohinya migrants were arrested in the state."
Several issues including border related crimes, cattle smuggling, fake currency, illegal infiltration and cross border terrorism were discussed in the meeting.
Bangladesh and India share a 4,096 km long international border through five north-eastern state of India.
