YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday appealed to the people not to give another chance to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP to rule the State.
Addressing a public meeting at Kudremukh mandal headquarters village of Uravakonda Assembly constituency in the district, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, on the 30th day of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, said Mr. Naidu wouldn’t hesitate to promise a paradise to win the next elections.

“He (Mr. Naidu) will come back again. This time, he may promise to give you one kg gold and a car and try to fool you again. Don’t give him another chance. Ask yourself whether any of the promises Mr. Naidu made during the last election have been fulfilled or not,” Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
“Mr. Naidu, in his bid to fool the people again, may also try to take the help of an actor or somebody else to campaign for him,” the Opposition leader said.
Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy sought to drive home the point that the government failed to implement its promises such as loan waiver to the SHGs and weavers, besides other promises such as unemployment allowance.
“Today, there exists corruption in every walk of life under this government. Even small works are not done at the village-level without having to bribe the Janmabhoomi Committees. Corruption exists from sand to real estate sector near the capital,” he said.
He said the Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy government had recognised the importance of irrigation in Anantapur district and planned the Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanti (HNSS) project with an aim to irrigate more than 3 lakh acres.
“The YSR’s government had spent ₹6,000 crore and finished 85% of the work on the project. The remaining work involving distributaries has not yet been completed,” Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy claimed.
