Arsenal news: Chris Sutton calls out Martin Keown over Mesut Ozil treatment
CHRIS SUTTON has leapt to the defence of Arsenal star Mesut Ozil following criticism from Gunners legend Martin Keown.
Ozil is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season and is free to talk to foreign clubs over a move in January.
In October, Keown claimed the Germany international had mentally already left the club.
“I think he's testing (Arsene) Wenger more than any other player has,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"I think in some departments he's already left. Psychologically, mentally, he's already left the football club.

“Maybe Wenger is now trying to do the best deal he can to get some compensation for him."
But Sutton believes Ozil has proved Keown wrong in recent weeks and says the 29-year-old has been wrongly singled out for criticism.
“You know who’s been good for Arsenal in recent weeks, and you can have Martin Keown here telling you everything that Mesut Ozil does wrong, but I’ll tell you he does a lot of things, a lot of things right,” Sutton said on BT Sport.
“He’s got more assists than any other player since he came into the Premier League.

“Arsenal knew what they were buying, I think he’s been singled out a lot for unfair criticism because there are 11 players who go out every week for Arsenal.”
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has maintained that Ozil will not be allowed to leave the club in the January transfer window.
Fellow contract rebel Alexis Sanchez will also be forced to stay at the club until the end of the season.
