Bayern Munich have cemented their place at the top of the Bundesliga standings, after defeating their hosts Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0.

The defending champions headed into the match with a six-point lead over their nearest challengers RB Leipzig.

The Bavarians were the better side of the match in the first half and Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal headed home a pin-point Joshua Kimmich cross in the 20th minute for his fourth goal in his last four Bundesliga matches.

Jupp Heynckes’s men then held-on to go eight points clear at the summit and claim the nominal autumn championship.
