COLONIE – Homes off Johnson Road are without water service Sunday after a water main broke Sunday.

Colonie DPW Commissioner Jack Cunningham said the 20-inch line break caused a hole in the road near Miller Road.

Cunningham said a six-person crew is assessing the damage Sunday afternoon, and is unsure how long the repair will take.

Fifty to 200 homes could be impacted, Cunningham said.

Part of Johnson Road is closed because of the break.
