The streets of Berlin were filled with fluffy red suits and pointy hats on Sunday as hundreds of people joined the annual "St Nicholas run."

Aimed at the entire family, the event comprises several races ranging from one to ten kilometers.

The minimum costume requirement is a red jacket and hat but that did not stop some participants going all out with matching red trousers, shiny belts and long white beards.
