ISL 2017: Mumbai City FC beat Chennaiyin FC 1-0

It was a chance for an in-form Chennaiyin FC to go to top of the table by beating a struggling Mumbai side. But the away side failed to find the right rhythym into their attacking set up and could not find the back of the net. Mumbai, who were placed at sixth position of the table made the most of the rash challenge inside the box by the Chenniay defender. Achille Emana took the kick from the spot and made no mistake. His perfect penalty gave Mumbai the lead in the 60th minute. But Chennai boys had plenty of time to change the score, but the lack-lustrous attacking set uip failed to make any difference. The match ended 1-0 in the favour of Mumbai City FC, who climbed to 5th position after the match. Meanwhile, Chennaiyin FC slipped to 3rd position after suffering their second defeat of the season.
