No decision on MSC yet

The executive committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) failed to take any concrete decision to implement FIFA's instruction of deducting points from Mohammedan Sporting Club's ongoing campaign in the Bangladesh Premier League.

The executive body of the game's local governing body sat for a meeting yesterday where they decided to resolve the issue within one week.

“Mohammedan informed us that they would pay the fine [$22,000] to their former Nigerian coach Emeka Ezeugo within the next two or three days,” BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag said.

“After that we will try to convince FIFA to reconsider their verdict of deducting three points from Mohammedan's tally.”

FIFA, in a letter on November 30, asked the BFF to deduct three points from the club's tally for its failure to clear payments to Emeka.

Meanwhile, BFF also decided to provide Tk three lakh to each district to run their respective leagues while awarding commercial rights of the district football league to Saif Global Sports, the current commercial rights holders of the Bangladesh Premier League.
