Potholes to be in focus at B’luru Parivartana rally

BENGALURU: Potholes on city roads, deaths during monsoon and lake encroachment are among the many issues related to the state capital that will be raised by the BJP leaders during the Parivartana rally at RBI Ground in JP Nagar on Sunday. This will be the first of three such rallies the BJP is planning in Bengaluru. At least 30,000 people are expected to attend the first rally.

The first rally will be attended by Union Minister Ananth Kumar and State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa, while the second one scheduled on December 17 at Mahadevapura is expected to have Union Ministers Arun Jaitley and Smriti Irani.

The third one will be held in Govindarajnagar on January 7 and Union minister Sushma Swaraj is expected to attend this one.

The conclusion mega rally will be on January 28 and it will be attended by Prime MinisterNarendra Modi. Speaking to reporters on Saturday, senior BJP leader R Ashoka said Parivartana rally has been successful across the state.

Road blocked for BJP rally

Bengaluru: The road to BBMP ground in RBI Layout near Kumaraswamy Layout will be closed on Sunday morning owing to a BJP rally. The rally starts at 10am from JP Nagar and proceeds towards Kumaraswamy Layout. Traffic police personnel said the road will be closed for traffic from 11am till whenever the rally ends. Motorists can use an alternate route.
