Louis C.K. is buying back the global rights to his film I Love You, Daddy from distributor the Orchard.

This comes in the wake of allegations of sexual misconduct made against C.K., which he has since confirmed are true. Deadline reports the Orchard suspended its distribution plans for the film's mid-November release following these allegations, and is now wrapping up a deal with C.K. to return all rights to him.

The Orchard gained worldwide rights to I Love You, Daddy for $5 million at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. C.K. will reportedly pay back any money received from the deal, as well as any marketing costs incurred by the Orchard, which are said to be anywhere from $500,000 to $1 million.

The Orchard spent money on the film's marketing campaign, as well as the mailing of 12,000 screeners for awards consideration

Netflix and FX have ended their association with Louis C.K. following the aforementioned allegations, with HBO also pulling all of his past projects from its on-demand services.
