Dhinakaran further said that another reason behind BJP members demanding cancellation of the election is he is not liked by them and there are bright chances for him to emerge victorious in the by-poll.
"I request the people to understand their (BJP) designs and act accordingly. I know well that people are ready to vote for 'pressure cooker' (his symbol) this time to pave way for create Amma (former chief minister J Jayalalithaa) government in Tamil Nadu again," Dhinakaran said.
On the shifting of returning officer Velusamy, he said, "I sincerely hope that the new returning officer Pravin Mair would conduct the by-election in a free and fair manner. The police should work in a neutral way. If not, we will approach the court seeking appropriate order."
