The Good Morning Britain favourite took to Instagram to share the pretty snap with her 121,000 followers as she appeared to go makeup-free for the occasion.

Showing off her natural beauty, the brunette bombshell wore her chocolate tresses in loose waves which cascaded over her shoulders as she gazed down the lens.

"Older. None the wiser," she captioned the upload. "47 today. Thank you for your lovely wishes."

Susanna Reid was inundated with well wishes from her army of fans who rushed to comment on her selfie, with one gushing: "Susanna you look amazing. Happy birthday."

"Happy birthday beautiful," another added, while a third said: "Natural beauty."

"Absolutely stunning," fourth Instagram fan wrote. "One of the UK's best broadcasters. Happy birthday!"

Susanna rarely posts pictures of herself on social media, but yesterday she bade farewell to 46 with a more sultry snap.

Adding a slick of bold red lipstick to plump her pout and mascara to accentuate her features, the ITV presenter wrapped up warm in a cosy grey jumper and a jacket as she said: "Goodbye 46… B'day tomoz." (sic)

Susanna's GMB co-host Piers Morgan, 52, took to Twitter to mark the occasion, saying: "Happy birthday @susannareid100!

"You'll get a present if you promise to let me get a word in edgeways on @GMB," he joked.

Her co-star Kate Garraway, 50, also wished her a happy birthday, saying: "Happy birthday to my gorgeous, clever, fun friend @susannareid100 - fabulous at any age."

Pointless favourite Richard Osman, 47, also said: "Happy birthday! I remain, for all time, 12 days older than you."
