Fire at UCB Bhaban; Security guard killed

A man was burned alive in a fire that broke out at a Narayanganj branch of United Commercial Bank Limited early Sunday morning.

Deceased Selim, 50, was a security guard of the bank.

Sadar Model Police Station SI Saiful Islam said the fire broke out at the Tanbazar branch of UCB Bhaban around 5:30am.

Being informed, a number of fire fighting units from Dhaka and five from Narayanganj, rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

Later, Selim's charred body was recovered from inside the bank.
