However, Everton were handed a late penalty courtesy of Dejan Lovren. 

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was pushed in the box by the Reds defender and Everton were handed a reprieve.  

Wayne Rooney stepped up to the spot and equalised to secure a point from the trip to Anfield.
