Transcom Group’s Obaidul Rahman Khan passes away

Transcom Group’s Executive Director Obaidul Rahman Khan has passed away at the age of 73. 

Obaidul Rahman Khan breathed his last at his Gulshan residence at 10:00pm last night, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

He left behind his wife, son and numerous well wishers to mourn his demise.

Obaidul, born on July 1 in 1944, was the eldest son of the then East-Pakistan’s Chief Minister Ataur Rahman.

He was associated with Transcom Group since 1993 and was one of the prominent members of the senior management body of the company.

In addition to this, he was also a member of the Board of Director of Prothom Alo, member of Executive Committee of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) and former vice president of Bangladesh Empower Federations (BEF).
