VISAKHAPATNAM: Around 50 students from a private educational institution of Anakapalle were injured, two of them seriously, when three buses collided with each other at Yarada Ghat road on Saturday. The incident reportedly happened after the bus moving first developed brake failure. This resulted in the other two buses colliding with the first bus at high speed. However, cops say that they are yet to ascertain the reason for the accident and feel it could be due to the negligence of the driver.

With the incident, around 120 students had a narrow escape from death, as the buses did not fall from the hill, say locals.According to sources, the 120 students (Class X and Intermediate) along with their staff went to Yarada beach for picnic in the three buses. While returning, the bus driver of the first bus lost control and crashed into a hill on Ghat road allegedly due to brake failure. The other two buses that were following rammed into the first bus at high speed.
