Teen confesses to killing mom, sister

A minor accused of stabbing his mother and sister to death allegedly in a fit of rage for being scolded for studies a few days ago was apprehended by the UP Police from Varanasi on Saturday. The bodies of Anjali (42) and Kanika (12) were recovered from their apartment in Gaur City on Monday night and the boy was missing since then.

According to police, the 15-year-old Class IX student has confessed to his crime. As per the revelation, he admitted to killing his mother and younger sister on December 4 allegedly using a cricket bat, a pair of scissors and a pizza cutter while they were asleep at 11 pm.

He was allegedly agitated for being repeatedly scolded for studies and beaten up at home over minor issues. Acoording to the probe, he first hit the two on their heads and faces with cricket bat, after which he ensured they were dead by hitting the duo with a pair of scissors and a pizza cutter.

The boy was angry with his mother as she used to scold him for studies, said the statement, adding his mother scolded him on the day of the incident too.

The post-mortem examinations had revealed that Anjali had seven injury marks on her head, while Kanika had five.

Police said after killing the two the boy allegedly changed his blood-stained clothes, leaving them on the spot and left the place after taking the available cash in the house. He allegedly hired a cab and reached New Delhi Railway Station from where he reached Chandigarh and then took a bus to Shimla, said police.

After staying there for two days, he again returned to Chandigarh and boarded a  train to Ranchi. On the morning of December 8, he alighted at Mughalsarai Railway Station from where he reached Varanasi. "The absence of teenager after the murder was creating suspicion in the mind of investigators. Although tracing him was not so easy but his facebook account helped a lot and also we had put his mobile phone on surveillance. His location was found in Varanasi from where he was arrested," said SSP Love Kumar.

The 42-year-old mother and her daughter were found murdered in the 1446, A Block flat of 11th Avenue of Gaur City in Greater Noida West on Monday night. Their blood-soaked bodies were found in the bedroom of their house. The father was travelling out of the city in connection with his business when the crime took place.
