The Health Department has asked people to take timely treatment for chicken pox. In all, 26 cases were reported from Punkunnam and Vallachira areas in the district.
“Treatment should be taken if symptoms are shown. Treatments are available for chicken pox in all hospitals. The spreading of the disease can be checked if timely treatments are taken,” said the district medical officer.
Those who are affected by chicken pox should take complete rest and have lots of fruits, the DMO said.
