Inter Milan star Perisic was high on Manchester United’s list of priorities over the summer.

However, Milan dug their heels and the Croatia international ended up penning a five-year deal with the Serie A giants.

A £45million price-tag had been slapped on the player at a time in an effort to deter United.

And according to the Sun on Sunday, Perisic’s asking price hasn’t changed.

It is reported United will have to meet Milan’s demands should they wish to prise Perisic from the San Siro.

Other claims emerged last week that Mourinho will be handed a transfer budget of £80million to make three signings.

Mourinho has set his sights on bringing a defender to Old Trafford.

Danny Rose has been intrinsically linked, which could see out-of-favour left-back Luke Shaw head the other way.

A midfielder has been earmarked, and Mesut Ozil, who Mourinho worked with at Real Madrid, has been targeted, although he would demand a huge salary.

As far as Perisic is concerned, his valuation was kept high rather than trying to tie him down to a new deal with Inter.

He joined the club from Wolfsburg for £14m in 2015.
