Qatar- SFQ archery tournament proves a huge success

Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Sports Academy (SFQ), recently organised its archery tournament at Al Jazzi Village compound in Al Gharafa.

More than 30 archers took part in the tournament in the different age categories. The tourney witnessed high level of professionalism and competition in all the age groups.

In the Under 11 years old group category, Ahmad Haikal, Jin Sol Bea and Diego Al Anis won the first, second and third places respectively, while in under 14 years category, the first place was bagged by Alina Sosnowski, the second place went to Omar Youssef, while Danil Korshunov took the third position.

In the Adult group, the first, second and third places went to Denis Korshunov, Vladimir Kulikov and Ali Issam, respectively.

On this occasion Islam El Rayes, General Manager at SFQ said, 'I am delighted to witness today the fruitful results of our efforts in the sport of archery, which is considered as one of the finest sports globally due to intensive training, concentration and pursuance requirements.

'At SFQ, we are able to attract the right talent and provide them the needed foundation, starting from discipline, to compliance and physical fitness. The training facilitates the cadets to be on the right path to become future champions and take Qatar to new heights in world championships and tournaments.

Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Academy 'SFQ is the only private sports academy in the country to offer the sport of Archery for kids from 8 years to grownups.

All the trainings are conducted by South Korean international coach Eun Jung Cho, who is working tirelessly to make the game more familiar within Qatar and select the right talents to represent the country in future international sporting events.
