And the rockstar reckons Jose Mourinho's side might resort to violence in order to win the clash on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola's City side contains some of the most creative players in the Premier League.

And Gallagher reckons the pragmatic Mourinho could send his players out to put a stop to their skills by fair means or foul.

“Fellaini will be going out given strict instructions to kill either one of Silva or De Bruyne - or both," the elder Gallagher brother joked on talkSPORT.

“I don’t like derby day, I’ve never enjoyed it. It’s too stressful.

“Genuine football supporters will want to get the derby out of the way.

“Wake up, call it a draw, and move on.”

City have taken the top-flight by storm this season, racing eight points clear of United and the chasing pack.

The "noisy neighbours" have scored a stunning 46 goals on the way to winning 14 of their opening 15 games.

The magnificent run has left the former Oasis song writer in awe of the team that boss Guardiola has assembled.

“He’s just like one of the lads," Gallagher brother added in reference to the Spanish manager.

"He’s a dude, man, he’s a proper dude.

“I literally go into that ground when I go and watch that team and think this is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life.”
