Dharamshala: A 40-year-old man on Thursday jumped from the fourth floor of Dr. Rajendera Prasad Medical College (RPGMC) and died hours after that. DSP Kangra Sanjeev Chaudhan told that the deceased had consumed a poisonous substance and was admitted in the hospital three days ago.
"He had almost recovered, however, on Thursday afternoon he jumped from the fourth floor of the hospital," the DSP said.
It was learnt that the deceased was sitting with his relatives when he suddenly got up and rushed towards the railing from where he jumped and received injuries on his legs and chest.
"The doctors quickly took him to the emergency ward and treated him till late evening. But due to serious injuries, he succumbed. We are investigating the case," the police officials said.
17-year-old kidnapped

Dharamshala: Kangra police on Thursday registered a case of kidnapping of a 17-year-old girl from ward number 4 of the main town. The father of the girl in his complaint said that their daughter left home at 4pm and did not return home. An FIR in this regard was registered on Thursday late evening.
DSP Sanjeev Chauhan said that the police were investigating the call records of the phone, which the girl used hours before of the incident.
"Nothing can be ruled out at this stage we are still tracing the calls and collecting evidences. We are sure that girl would be traced at the earliest" the DSP said.
