Prasoon Sarang Memorial Cricket tourney begins

Cooperatives Minister Vishwas Sarang inaugurated the Prasoon Sarang Memorial Cricket Competition at Gautam Nagar Sports Ground on Thursday by playing cricket, garlanding the photo of Mataji and lighting the traditional lamp.

The first match was played between Patrakar Eleven and Sarang Academy. Patrakar Eleven scored 89 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 10 overs. Indrajeet scored 23 runs off 7 balls, while PC Rajak hit 13 runs in 6 balls.

Abhishek Gaur and Pranshu Sewag bagged two wickets each. Sarang Academy reached the target in just 8 overs. Appu hit 49 off only 16 balls, while Vipin made 31.

The second math was played between Vikas and SG Club. Batting first, SG Club set target of 125. For SG Club, corporator Monu Gohit scored 59 off 30 balls. Amit and Govind bagged two wickets each for Vikas Club.

In reply SG Club could score 123 in 10 overs and lost the nail-biting match by a single run. In the third match BHEL beat CFC, while in the last encounter of the day Bihari Club outclassed Naresh Club.
