Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said a hub for agro-based industry would be set up in Fatehabad.
The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) would purchase land for the project, he said.
Besides, the Polytechnic Institute in village Dhangad would be elevated to the level of engineering college, he added.
Making these announcements while addressing the gathering at a function here, he said the proposed industrial hub would lead to increase in capital investment and provide jobs to the youth of the area.
On the demand of the residents of the city, the chief minister said open gyms would be set up in two parks which had already been developed.
Besides, a new park would be developed and a gym installed there. Khattar said there was no dearth of funds for carrying out development works. The state has a budget of over Rs 1 lakh crore and development works are being carried out throughout the state by following the principles of 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas' and Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek, he said.
