Hundreds of lads and lasses donned the red costumes for SantaCon, a US pub crawl.

The annual parade started in San Francisco and invites people to join the “naughty list”.

Pics show men and women downing drinks as they moved from bar to bar in London.

The self-described “non-profit, non-political, non-religious and non-sensical” bar crawl saw pics of Santas pouring themselves drinks outside.

The parade, which began in Kings Cross, saw Santas spreading Christmas cheer in Liverpool Street, Westminster and Trafalgar Square.

Attendees are also invited to bring carol sheets to the parade for drunken sing-a-longs.

One pic showed a Santa unloading a large bottle of gin into a plastic bottle.

An elf was pictured grappling with another in the dirt while another reveller relieved himself in a bush.

Some climbed on frames in children's play areas and swigged cans of lager on park benches.

This comes as a festive night out in Newcastle got a little out of hand with drunken revellers having one too many bevies.

While Oxford University students painted the town red on a wild night out.

They also dressed up as Santas for a Christmas-themed bar crawl.
