Sankdasariya’s car vandalized

Surat: Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) members clashed with some BJP supporters at Yogi Chowk in the city on Saturday morning. In another incident, a former PAAS member was allegedly attacked in Varachha by PAAS members. However, PAAS leaders denied their involvement in the incidents.

Patidar Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti convener Ashwin Sankdasariya was attacked by a group of unidentified persons in Varachha. Sankdasariya reached Varachha police station in his car that was damaged by the group. They broke glasses of Sankdasariya's car and escaped from the location. Sankdasariya did not suffer any injury in the attack which he suspected was the handiwork of PAAS activists. Police registered his complaint and started investigations.

Sankdasariya shared details of the attack on him on social media and alleged involvement of PAAS activists for exposing PAAS convener Hardik Patel and his associates a few weeks ago after shifting to New Delhi. He was also first to comment about alleged sex videos of Hardik, saying they were original and not morphed. PAAS members suspected his role behind making the videos go viral on social media.

PAAS convener Dharmik Malaviya in Surat said, "PAAS members are not involved in the attack on Sankdasariya. Our members had gone to a polling station after receiving complaint of irregularities from our supporters."

PAAS members thrashed some BJP workers on Saturday morning at Yogi Chowk when they were removing PAAS posters on martyred Patidar youths. PAAS member stopped the car of five BJP supporters and thrashed two of them. Three BJP workers managed to escape from the spot. The PAAS supporters later broke the glasses of their car.
