Mymensingh-Jamalpur rail link snapped following derailment

The rail communication on the Mymensingh-Jamalpur route remained suspended following derailment of an oil laden train at Bidyaganj Railway Station of Mymensingh Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.

Mymensingh Railway Station superintendent Johurul Islam said the engine and three bogies of the train veered off the track, halting the rail communication.

"A relief train from Mymensing is carrying out the rescue operation, which may take time", he said.
