Youth arrested after a brawl with Yuva Sena co-ordinator

Mumbai : The Chitalsar police have arrested Pratik Bhandare (25) for rioting on Friday. Cross complaints were registered against Bhandare and Eeshan Balbale, Deputy co-ordinator of Yuva Sena at Thane after a brawl at a lounge near Hiranandani meadows at Thane on November 28.

Bhandare has been arrested for voluntarily causing hurt (Section 323), unlawful assembly (Section 143), rioting (Section 147) and unlawful assembly (Section 149) of the Indian Penal Code.

On November 28 night, Pratik Bhandare (22), a resident of Kavesar at Thane was partying with his friends at a lounge near Hiranandani meadows when he was attacked by Balbale and his friends. Balbale in his statement to the police has stated that there was no provocation from his side and that Bhandare who was in the lounge with his group had started a fight with him over a trivial issue. Bhandare had alleged that Balbale hurled abuses at one of the youths seated on the adjoining table. Bhandare has said that he was a silent spectator when the incident occurred. After a while, when Bhandare walked out to receive a call, Balbale and his friend Zuber assaulted him and hit him with iron rods on the head.


According to G.D.Pingale, Senior Police Inspector, Chitalsar police station, “A cross complaint was registered by Eeshan Balbale against Pratik  Bhandare.”
