Former Congress MLA K N Tripathy has taken a serious umbrage at the ‘jatiwad’ comment made by Chief Minister Raghubar Das in Garhwa on December 6. Tripathy in his press briefing in Daltonganj on Friday said, “The CM’s jatiwad comment does not go well with the post which is a Constitutional one and he should refrain from making such comments.”
He further said the CM in his Garhwa speech had said that ‘Brahminwad’ has gripped Palamu division and this has slowed down the progress of this place.
Tripathy countered it saying, “Inder Singh Namdhari has only 500 Namdhari votes but he has won the vidhand sabha/ lok sabha seat for six times. Girinath Singh has done a similar win in Garhwa where his own caste men are outnumbered by others.”
He said Palamu is driven by leadership and not by caste tag.
The Congress leader took note of the CM’s statement wherein he had asked people and officers not to allow ‘mukhiya pati’ to enter panchayat bhavan to attend any official meeting there. Tripathy said CM ought to have been far more soothing on these husbands of their elected wives.
This Congress man did not spare his own senior Manishankar Aiyer and said his utterance and translation of low born is never acceptable to Congress and he has been rightly suspended by the AICC asserting that there is no rom for indecent utterances in politics.
He asked BJP leadership to prevail upon the CM to be on guard while making such public fulmination against any caste or creed.
Tripathy said the Congress is opposed to employment policy in 11 districts of this State and will pressure the Government to redefine and modify it, otherwise there will be a Pad Yatra against this employment policy from Bansidhar Mandir in Nagar Untari in Garhwa district to Babadham in Deoghar. State Congress president Dr Ajay Kumar will participate in Pad Yatra, announced Tripathy.
