Guardiola gets another chance to put one over his old rival Jose Mourinho when he takes his Manchester City side to Old Trafford on Sunday.
The game has added spice given a win for City would see them stretch their lead over second placed Manchester United to 11 points, while a win for Mourinho men would drag them right back into the title race.
And Guardiola cannot wait to immerse himself in the atmosphere of a Manchester showdown and pit his wits against Mourinho one more time.
“I said many times, when I was at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and now here, that I am a manager for this kind of game,” he said.
“I am looking forward to arriving there. I would like to play tomorrow or in a few hours. I love to be there to be part of it.

“We can see what we can do to beat them, then shake hands, improve what we have not done well, enjoy a good game and prepare for the next one.”
There is a bitter history between Guradiola and Mourinho, going back to the days when Guardiola was in charge at Barcelona and Mourinho at Real Madrid.
Both men have tried to cool that rivalry since they pitched up in Manchester 18 months ago, but it still simmers.
City boss Guardiola has the reputation for playing with style, while United manager Mourinho is renowned for simply getting results.
The former Bayern Munich boss finished empty-handed for the first time in his coaching career last season, after 21 trophies in seven years in Spain and Germany – compared with the 25 that Mourinho has lifted in 17 years.
But he wants to put that right this time around, claiming that he wants success every bit as much as Mourinho.
“In that, we are twins,” said Guardiola. “We want to win trophies. Antonio Conte is the same as well, and Jurgen (Klopp) and Mauricio (Pochettino).
Despite the contrasting styles, Guardiola dismissed the suggestion his reputation for producing free-flowing flair football makes him a cut above Mourinho.
He said: “I never criticise my colleagues for the way they play. I never did in the past, I will never do it
“Football is magnificent for that, because every manager plays in the way they play. There are different ways to enjoy football. It’s simple like that.”
Guardiola, meanwhile, insists that he has not been playing mind games with Mourinho over David Silva’s fitness.

Silva has been cleared to play at Old Trafford tomorrow, despite being a doubt with a muscle problem.
The midfielder missed Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat by Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League, having complained of “feeling uncomfortable” after scoring the winner against West Ham last Sunday.
Mourinho claimed the whole episode was a smokescreen, and that Silva was always destined to play at Old Trafford.
But Guardiola said: “At the beginning of the week, after the game against West Ham, there was a big doubt about his playing. That’s why I said what I said. But he said he is really good, so he is going to play.”
