Liverpool could sell

15:30: Liverpool may decide to sell Philippe Coutinho in January.

According to the Liverpool Echo, if a bid around £120m was made, it would be considered by the Reds hierarchy.

Barcelona have not dropped their interest in Coutinho and the player himself was coy about his future on Wednesday.

David Luiz to leave

14.15: David Luiz is almost certain to leave Chelsea in January.

That is according to Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson.

Luiz is currently out with a knee injury but he had already lost his place in the team following a row with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

The Brazil international was dropped last month after clashing with Conte ahead of their 1-0 win over Manchester United.

After that match, Conte said Luiz needed to work harder to regain his spot in the team.

But since then Luiz has made just one start with Andreas Christensen given a run in the side.

On Friday, Conte was again reluctant to discuss Luiz saying: “I think now this is not the right moment to speak about this.

“Now there is a lot of games before the transfer window.

“Now I think is not the right moment to speak about this. Now this is not important.”

Double Arsenal contract announcement

13:35: Arsenal  have made a double contract annoucement on their official club website.

But Gunners fans who are hoping it concerns star men Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will be left disappointed.

Instead, Arsenal have agreed deals to keep two of their youngsters at the club - Jordi Osei-Tutu and Joseph Olowu.

Lewandowski dreams of Real Madrid

12:10: Robert Lewandowski dreams of signing for Real Madrid, it has been claimed.

Real are pondering  signing a new striker in January as Zinedine Zidane looks to reinvigorate his misfiring squad.

They are short of fire-power up top following the sales of Alvaro Morata and Mariano Diaz and are already eight points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona.

It was reported earlier this year that Polish hitman Lewandowski was so desperate to join Real that he was learning Spanish.

And today Spanish newspaper Marca are say it remains the striker's 'dream' to join the Bernabeu giants.

Ronaldo transfer bombshell

11:30: Cristiano Ronaldo could have signed for Arsenal, Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed.

In an interview with France Football, Ferguson revealed all on the conversation he had with Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes in 2009

That followed a friendly between United and Sporting where Ronaldo had stunned Red Devils players with his performance.

Fergie said: "I spoke with Ronaldo and Jorge Mendes and he said we had to hurry because Arsenal and Real Madrid wanted to sign him.

"I told Ronaldo to join us. He explained he'd have to talk with his mother about it."

Man Utd trial

10:40: Manchester United have reportedly invited Canadian starlet Alphonso Davies to train with them in January.

And according to Canadian outlet CTV, United want to take a look at the teenager.

It’s claimed the deal is dependent on clearance and approval from Vancouver but if agreed, Davies will link up with United in the new year.

Barca boss wants three deals

10.11: Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde wants three big signings - and hopes to make them in January.

Valverde has led Barca back to the top of La Liga and has a lead of five points after 14 games.

They have left Real Madrid in their wake and are eight points clear of the fourth-placed side.

But Valverde still wants to enhance his side with additions in key areas as they battle in Europe and at home.

According to Diario Gol he wants another creative star - with Philippe Coutinho his top target - another defender with Javier Mascherano leaving in January, and another forward.

Sensational David Luiz claim

09:18: Real Madrid have moved a step closer to signing Chelsea star David Luiz on loan, it has been claimed

Spanish website Don Balon are reporting the former PSG star is edging closer towards a sensational loan move to Madrid with his future at Stamford Bridge up in the air.

It is said the Blues are willing to let the centre-back leave the club.

His decision to question Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has not gone down well, particularly given how they have bounced back from a torrid run of results to challenge for the league title.

Bale back to Spurs?

08:15: Mauricio Pochettino admits Gareth Bale still speaks to staff at Totenham.

And the Spurs boss has admitted he is open to the prospect of the Real Madrid star making a stunning return to Tottenham.

Pochettino said: “Of course he’s a fantastic player. He keeps contact with all the people here that worked here in the past.”

Spurs sold Bale to Real for £85million in September 2013 and they would have to fight both United and City to bring him back to the Premier League.

Asensio to Man Utd rumours

07:50: It is being claimed in Spain that Manchester United are plotting a January swoop for Real Madrid star Marco Asensio.

Don Balon say Jose Mourinho has put Gareth Bale on the backburner to focus on Asensio.

The 21-year-old is yet to nail down a starting spot under Zinedine Zidane.

No Salah move to Real

07:00: Real Madrid have been linked with a surprise move for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah .

However, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, Madrid are not interested in the player.

The news will be a boost for Kop fans with Philippe Coutinho seemingly nearing the exit door.

West Ham turned down Lukaku

06:30: It's bad enough for West Ham fans... but this will only make it worse.

It has emerged the club turned down the chance to sign Romelu Lukaku before he made it big.

The Belgian was available for the small fee of £10million when he was still at Chelsea.

And Hammers chief David Sullivan has revealed the club rejected the offer while Sam Allardyce was in charge.

“I asked Sam if he fancied Lukaku,” he told the Guardian.

“Sam said he’d take him on loan but he wouldn’t buy him for that. Again I’ve supported the manager.”

Double Man Utd exit

06:00: United will consider winter offers for Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian.

The pair were signed by Louis van Gaal but life under Jose Mourinho has been far from a happy time.

They have played just 195 minutes of Premier League football between them this season and are both out of contract in June.

The Daily Record claim Shaw has been offered to other English clubs by representatives in an effort to resurrect his career.

Arsenal deal on cards

05:45: There could be a possible January deal on the cards at Arsenal - but an exit rather than an incoming.

Italian outlet Calciomercato claim Juventus are keen on a move for defender Shkodran Mustafi when the transfer window reopens.

Juve are looking for cover for Benedikt Howedes, who has a long-term injury problem.

Arthur's Barcelona agreement

05:00: Gremio star Arthur Melo has agreed to sign for Barcelona - but the Catalan giants must still meet the Brazil club’s asking price.

“Arthur has got an agreement with Barcelona, but that needs to be confirmed in an agreement with Gremio, who are demanding the midfielder’s £44m (€50m) buy-out clause be met,” Guillem Balague  told Sky Sports.

"Barca will negotiate with Gremio at the right time because they want the player but they don’t want to pay that hefty figure.”
