The legendary Triple H showed off his true colours and stamped his authority in New Delhi as he beat Jinder Mahal in the marquee event of the WWE Live India Tour 2017. The much-spoken about fight saw Jinder Mahal trouble the experienced Triple H, but the Indian could not sustain himself against his fancied opponent.

Eventually, Triple H got the better of Mahal on his home patch. Triple H, who is also known as The Game by his fans, was struggling with a knee injury but that did not help Mahal who was trying take advantage of the injury.

Jinder Mahal almost clinched it though after he threw Triple H into the steel stairs. The Game though recovered just in time and quickly too. Once Triple H had Mahal on the floor after being knocked into the ring post, he came in with a 'pedigree' to finish off the match in his own inimitable style.

Earlier before the match up, the Indian wrestler was rather upbeat about his chances of a victory in what he termed as the biggest match of his career.

"This is definitely the biggest match of my career. Probably the biggest match in Indian wrestling history. I'm really disappointed that I'm not here as WWE champion, but a match against Triple H is more than making up for it. I was really looking forward to play Kevin Owens, but this is a really big match," Mahal had told the Times of India.

"I would be lying if I said it was not a little bit nervous. I definitely feel the pressure. I'm very, very nervous. Triple H said in a recent interview that now his job is to ensure that the next generation of WWE superstars are up to par, so basically Triple H is the measuring stick, so I need this match personally. I want to see how I measure up to Triple H, the 'King of Kings'."

He also warned Triple H, saying that the Cerebral assassin is way past his prime while Mahal hasn't even touched his prime.

"I personally believe that Triple H is a bit past his prime, whereas I haven't even hit my prime," said Mahal as his tone changed and a sly grin broke out on his face. "I'm 31 years old. Day by day, week by week, month by month I'm getting better. I hope Triple H sees that, and come tomorrow I think he's going to see that my arm is going to be raised at the end of the night [in celebration of victory]."
