ESPN’s “College GameDay” was in Philadelphia for the Army-Navy game and re-ran its piece from earlier this year on Jarren Jasper, the son of Navy offensive coordinator Ivin Jasper who needs a heart transplant. There was some worry that Ivin Jasper would not be able to coach in Saturday’s game, but The Washington Post’s Ava Wallace reports that Jarren’s medical appointment Friday went well enough for his father to be in Philadelphia. The younger Jasper needs a heart transplant after complications arose during surgery to correct an abnormally fast heart rate over the summer.
