BENGALURU: Tredence (http://www.tredence.com) employees recently got a chance to connect with Anil Kumble on his cricketing career and leadership qualities. At the quarterly bash - which is Tredence's way to unwind and connect with peers - Kumble's presence raised the excitement levels, bringing in a sporty twist to the occasion.
Sumit Mehra, CTO of Tredence said, "It was an awesome feeling, having Kumble in our midst. Personally, I have always been a huge fan of Kumble's and have been inspired by his fighting spirit. He has pursued excellence, done the right things, and has shown an entrepreneurial spirit all his life. These are the same values shared by Tredencions."
In a fireside chat with Mehra, Kumble said, "You need to believe in yourself and never stop persevering."
Responding to a question from the audience on the role transformation from being a bowler to a captain, Kumble said, "As an individual contributor, you just need to go out there and execute the role you have been identified to perform. But as a captain, you need to lead from the front and inspire others."
Besides the shared values, Tredence and Kumble also share the love for data analytics.
