Contractor Agrawal murder: 4 arrested

Police solved contractor Pradeep Agrawal’s murder case and arrested four persons here on Thursday. Agrawal had been killed in broad daylight at his Radhakrushna Colony residence here on November 28.

Agrawal was in his house when three unknown persons came and started talking to him and ordered for tea. When his maidservant went to kitchen to prepare tea, the trio suddenly attacked him with sharp weapons and fled away.

Agrawal, with his left hand severed and deep injuries on his shoulders, was immediately rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Police arrested Shaik Samim and Shaik Sitab of Gadabaguda, Rakesh Bhatra of Senapati Street and Raja @ Sujeet Panda of Jamal Colony of Nabarangpur town. A blood-stained sword used for the murder was seized from the place of concealment being produced by Shaik Sitab, said Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo,
