Trucker, helper killed in Narsingdi road mishap

Two people were killed and five others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Belabo upazila of Narsingdi district on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Saddam Hossian, 25, driver of the truck and his helper Sarwar Mia, said Bhairab Highway Police Station officer in-charge Kawser Hossian.

A Dhaka-bound bus collided with a Bhairab-bound truck, carrying labourers, around 6:30am, leaving the truck driver and his helper spot dead and five others injured, he added.

Later, the bodies were sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue.
