It has been claimed she and Jamie, 44, had an intense phone call about professional dancer Kevin Clifton, 35, and Louise Redknapp, 43, after the pair grew close on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016.

The dancer and the former footballer reportedly spoke after Jamie had concerns the BBC One show was having an impact on his 18-year marriage.

Karen, 35, who has been with Kevin for seven years, allegedly told him: “Keep your wife away from my husband. She’s ruining our marriage.” 

Karen was said to be sad about the situation, with a source saying: “Karen was very upset at the time and that’s when she asked Jamie to try and keep Louise away from Kevin.

“Emotions were running high as it’s not the type of situation either of them expected to be in,” they told The Sun.

Louise was apparently angry when she found out about the phone call, with the source adding: “Louise and Kevin are close friends through their work on Strictly Come Dancing. She’s also friends with Karen.

“She thought it was ridiculous that Jamie had called Karen because it made a situation totally uncomfortable unnecessarily."

Louise competed on the hit BBC series last year, but since her stint on the show it has been widely speculated that her marriage to Jamie is on the rocks.

Meanwhile, Karen and Kevin’s marriage is said to be over too, although Karen has still been spotted wearing her wedding ring.

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Jamie Redknapp and Karen and Kevin Clifton asking for comment.

Louise Redknapp’s representative refused to comment when contacted by Express.co.uk.
