DUBAI, 8th December, 2017 (WAM) -- Mattar Al Tayer, Deputy Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, on Friday, opened the Dubai Muscle Show, the Middle East's leading international fitness and bodybuilding show, at Dubai World Trade Centre.
Over an action-packed two days, the 2nd annual show will bring together over 200 leading global sports nutrition, fitness and bodybuilding brands from 30 countries with more than 20,000 diverse fitness enthusiasts from one of the world's fastest-growing and most-affluent fitness markets.
Fitness consumers will have the chance to meet global fitness stars, be inspired, access the latest fitness products and services, and get expert advice and training tips. Visitors will also enjoy a full weekend of entertainment with exciting demos and access to hundreds of free samples and giveaways.
Alongside the exhibition, Dubai Muscle Show will feature some of the world's most exhilarating sports competitions including Strongman, callisthenics, boxing, mixed martial arts, kickboxing, bodybuilding, and many more, with some of the best local, regional and international talent from as far as South Africa, South America and Australia.
The International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness, IFBB, Amateur Championship, taking place at Dubai Muscle Show, is organised in partnership with Universal Muscle Fitness and Fashion, UMFF, and the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness, and supported by Emirates Bodybuilding Federation.
DMS Active, the Middle East's leading event for the fitness enthusiast community, will be held alongside Dubai Muscle Show to present a number of interactive features, educational events and fitness demonstrations that will educate, captivate and inspire attendees in their personal and professional lives.
The DMS Active Exhibition brings together the latest trends, products, events and experiences for those who live, breathe or work within fitness and health. From cutting-edge fitness equipment and training aids through to the latest in apparel, technology, sports nutrition, healthy food and supplements, there is plenty for visitors to try and buy.
The 2017 edition of "Emirates Strongest Woman and Emirates Strongest Man" will have three categories of participants: Women – Open weight category, Men – Under 90kg and Men – Open weight category. Each category will have 10-12 competitors, fighting it out over six individual tests of strength for the ultimate accolade of becoming Emirates Strongest Woman/Man.
