The Human Rights Week is being organised in city schools by youth led NGO Ansh Happiness Society. On Thursday it was the second day of the week. An interactive session was organised at International Public School (IPS).
To begin with the programme, a documentary related to human rights, evolution of human right and importance of human rights was screened for the students of class 8.
The session was followed by a talk session by a guest speaker Bonnie Mok from Canada and Mohsin Khan co-founder of Ansh Happiness Society. In the session Bonnie laid emphasis on feeling of being safe, feeling and privilege to learn in there interested area and the feeling of sovereignty.
She encouraged students to speak and think about human rights and to imply in practical life. By addressing students as a future of country, it is important to get ideas and work in the domain of human rights.
Further in this session students showed their concern by raising up questions about giving access to the underprivileged section of the society and also about the correct methods to enforce human rights.
Later, Mohsin briefed by 30 Human Rights and laid emphasis on certain rights such as to right to play for children and more.
The students also recognised the problem of lack of awareness about Human Rights and need to change the mental outlook and thinking of the dominant section of the society.
At the end of the session a poster making activity was done by the students and there will be a walk for Human rights in the school demonstrated slogans and posters for the awareness of human rights in the school.
