Prince Charles first attended the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport to meet beneficiaries and supporters of The Prince's Trust. 

Young entrepreneurs showcased the businesses they have set up with support from the charity, which was founded by Charles in 1976. 

Charles held discussions with young people about challenges they have overcome, as well as supporters and guests of the charity. 

The Prince's Trust Cymru has supported more than 3,000 people in Wales over the past 12 months. 

Then Charles visited the Caerphilly Miners Community Centre where he met volunteers and learned about the centre's programmes. 

Activities at the centre, which was founded by local residents in 2008, include language classes, yoga, cinema clubs and children's parties. 

Charles will then attend one of the supported housing services managed by the charity Abbeyfield, of which he is patron. 

He will join residents, staff and supporters for a Christmas party to celebrate the support services of two Abbeyfield homes in Caerphilly. 

These homes, St Martins and Winston Osborne House, aim to help elderly people living alone to retain independence and dignity in a family environment. 

Abbeyfield Wales Society, which was formed in 1991, managed 24 nursing home sites across the country.
