Realtor lures customer to plot, takes ASI to gangrape woman

In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by a Delhi Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and his property dealer friend at an isolated godown in Outer Delhi’s Nangloi area.

ASI Jaidev Hooda and Dalbeer Dahiya were arrested on Tuesday night, police said on Thursday.

“In light of the heinous act committed by the ASI, he has been placed under suspension and an enquiry has been initiated into the matter,” said a senior police officer of the outer district. Hooda was posted at the Saket police picket and used to live in Nangloi area.

According to a senior police officer, the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon when the woman was called to the godown by Dahiya.

“The victim, who lives in the Rajdhani Park area on rent, was looking for a vacant plot to be used as a godown. It was then that she came in touch with one property dealer Dahiya. On Tuesday morning, Dahiya called the woman saying that he has found a suitable godown and she can come and see the place. Dahiya dropped her at the location of the godown and then took her to a tour of the place and then led her to a room where ASI Hooda was already present,” said a source.

As per the written complaint submitted by the woman, they took turns to rape her. After which, they threatened her of dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident.

In her written complaint, the woman also alleged that Hooda claimed that since “he is an officer of the Delhi Police, nothing will happen to him”.

After committing the act, the duo fled from the godown. The woman alleged that she somehow managed to call police who rushed her to the nearest Government hospital.

Based on the medical examination of the woman and her written statement, police registered a case of gangrape under relevant sections of the IPC at the Nangloi police station, police said.
