When Priyank Sharma set foot inside the Bigg Boss house this year, sure, the girls swooned over his extremely good looks and those hot abs. But they were a bit heartbroken when they learnt that he is not single. Before he came on-board for Bigg Boss 11, Priyank took part in the dating reality show, MTV Splitsvilla X. Since the show was all about finding your true love, Priyank fell for his co-contestant, Divya Agarwal. They both confessed their feelings for each other, and their love story began on the show. They went on dates and it was evident that they mean the world to each other.
But like any other relationship, theirs too had many ups and downs. They had arguments, and the next moment were pacifying each other. It was all hunky dory until Divya got eliminated from the show. So much that it broke Priyank to pieces. Not for long though, as Divya not only made a comeback on the show, but reached till the finale with her significant other.
Cut to Bigg Boss 11. As Priyank made his way to the house along with 17 other contestants, he had all the support from Divya in the outside world. But then in shocking turn of events, Priyank attacked his co-contestant Akash Dadlani right during the first week, and as a result, host Salman Khan and the show runners decided to throw him out of the house for breaking the most important rule.
It started a debate on social media, and Priyank’s fans (many who started worshiping him from Splitsvilla and others who joined the club after his entry on Bigg Boss 11) wanted the makers to give him a second chance. So it was, Priyank made a comeback in the house, but this was not the same Priyank, who we saw on the first week of the show. There was a different air around him this time. The first mistake he did was that he exposed some sensitive details about Arshi Khan’s past, which he learnt while he was outside the house for more than a week. Not only Salman, but a lot of viewers lashed out at him for maligning a woman’s image on national television. And then he ended up fighting with his best friend, Vikas Gupta, not once, but many times. If all of that was enough, he didn’t acknowledge his relationship with Divya while talking about his love life to Hina Khan and instead told her that he has a “jaan (special someone)” in the US.
And this is where new cracks started developing in Priyank and Divya’s relationship. This time, it was Divya, who was deeply hurt with Priyank’s actions. The final nail in the coffin was when he started getting close to Benafsha Soonawalla inside the house. This is when Divya thought she has had enough and decided to break-up with him.
The chapter was over from her side while Priyank still kept thinking that all is well. But Divya wanted to give him a closure and hence set foot inside the Bigg Boss house as a part of task wherein the contestants got to meet their loved ones for a brief period of time. And how did this encounter between Divya and Priyank turned out to be? Well, we all watched it during last night’s episode of Bigg Boss 11. It’s clear that Divya is done with Priyank. She might not have said it directly to him, but we don’t think there is going back for Divya now. Strange how a love story that started on a reality show, came to an end on another. It’s like life has come to full circle for Priyank and Divya.
