Dawn report by staff reporter from Islamabad states that the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific has warned threats to Pakistan’s exchange rate posed by government’s interventionist policy. The UN body’s report warns that the incumbent policy cannot sustain in the face of US dollar’s appreciation against leading global currencies.
