Shahid’s inspiring character

Actor Shahid Kapoor, one of the three lead actors of controversial film Padmavati, hopes the audience understands his part as Rawal Ratan Singh. He feels it's a character that would make people want to be “better” in today's time. The actor stressed on the need for inspiring characters while discussing his role as Rani Padmavati's husband and a warrior king Rawal Ratan Singh in Padmavati.

“I remember when Gladiator came out and Russell Crowe played Maximus, the character felt too good to be true. But, it inspired me so much. That was a strong reference for me because I wondered how you play a character who is so noble and good, and make him connect with people today,” Shahid said.

Manish Arorahas collaborated with St-art India Foundation to create an art installation titled All We need is Love for Jindal Mansion. The ace designer says that his piece is inspired by his life philosophy of looking at things in a positive way.

Talking about collaborating with St-art India Foundation that aims to make streets more interactive through the medium of urban art, the designer told: “I was approached by St+art India Foundation almost a year back to work on a piece of art in Mumbai but we didn't have the right canvas to showcase the art. The Jindal Mansion then came about to be the perfect canvas for our installation. My installation is titled, All We Need is Love, and comes from my life philosophy to always see life in a positive manner. In a world filled with so much uncertainty, positive messaging becomes extremely important.”

The installation was the result of six months of ideating, 35 artisans and 3 months.

Created with yards of cloth, either hand embroidered or printed, close to 2400 pieces were pieced together to create the finished look. The installation is all about colour, joy and celebration with added glow-in-the-dark elements.”

Fergie says she has dementia

Singer Fergie says she suffered from symptoms of psychosis and dementia due to her drug addiction to methamphetamine, commonly known as crystal meth.

“At my lowest point, I was (suffering from) chemically-induced psychosis and dementia. I was basically hallucinating on a daily basis. It took a year after getting off that particular drug for the chemicals in my brain to settle so that I actually stopped seeing things,” she shared.

Reflecting on the intense consequences of the drug, she said, “I'd just be sitting there, seeing a random bee or a bunny.”

In September, Fergie had announced a split from husband Josh Duhamel after eight years of marriage. They have a son named Axl.
