ROHTAK: A newly-wed couple allegedly committed suicide at a flat in Rohtak's Suncity on Wednesday night. The deceased have been identified as Sandeep Kumar Narwal of Sonipat, a lab technician at a private hospital, and his wife Ruchi, an undergraduate student at a college in Rohtak.
The couple had married in a Delhi court around two months ago against their families' wishes. On Wednesday, Sandeep had called his relatives to his house in Rohtak to discuss about his marriage.
When they reached, they found the door locked from inside. After breaking the door, the relatives found the couple hanging from a ceiling hook. The police said the couple left a suicide note stating they were ending their lives and no one was blamed and held responsible for their death.
In the suicide note, they sought apology from their parents for taking the extreme step saying that they were in love and couldn't live without each other but as the parents did not accept their alliance, they were committing suicide.
